Evolve adds mortgage lending and trust services

Evolve Financial Group recently branched into mortgage lending, started a trust division, and began scouting for offices for its banking division after changing its name from First State Bank to Evolve Bank & Trust. Later this month, it plans to move from its 7,000-square-foot headquarters into 11,000 square feet in the Koger Center on Germantown Parkway.

"We've built the engine so now we're just looking to feed it," says Scot Lenoir, president and CEO.   Lenoir, former president and CEO of Memphis-based First Mercantile Trust Co., left First Mercantile to start Evolve two years ago with $9 million from 28 investors. Evolve's second Texas acquisition in two years to add 70 financial advisers

Evolve Securities, Inc., has acquired its second Texas firm, AFS Brokerage, Inc., in Austin, which will add about 70 independent financial advisers to the business.

The acquisition, which still needs regulatory approval, will give the Memphis-based brokerage arm of Evolve Financial Group, Inc., a total of 125 financial advisers in more than dozen states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts and Texas, says Scot Lenoir, chairman and CEO of Evolve Financial Group.

Evolve Acquires US Worldwide

Evolve Securities Inc. has acquired U.S. Worldwide Financial Services, increasing its number of registered representatives to 67.

A division of Evolve Financial Group Inc., based in Memphis, Evolve Securities said the acquisition will expand the firm's presence to 33 states and Europe. Texas-based U.S. Worldwide Financial Services, a regional broker dealer, has 50 brokers and 12,000 accounts.

Evolve Renovates West Memphis Branch

Evolve Bank & Trust has renovated its branch in West Memphis and is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony in May. The branch is located at 1222 North Missouri Street, and the ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. May 4.
